When reading book one in Beverly Lewis’ new series Seasons of Grace, I find myself very frustrated that the other books in the series aren’t published yet. This book leaves you with a million questions, and unless you have endless patience, I would wait until the entire series is published and read it as a whole. I find it extremely frustrating when I only get the minimal answers that I crave because this book is just a part of the whole. Part of the frustration is my fault for being too impatient to wait for the entire series to be published!

The Secret by Beverly Lewis
The Bylers are an Amish family that lives, loves, and works according to The Book. They are devout and work hard to live as they do. Grace, the eldest daughter, is an Amish teen trying to wade through the waters of romance while trying to discover the secrets that her mother, Lettie, holds so tightly. Will Grace be able to find a love of her own while she is concentrating so fiercely on helping her mother overcome her secret?
Judah, the husband, father, and sheep farmer, is struggling with his aversion to speaking his feelings, both to his wife and his children. He knows that Lettie is keeping something from them and hopes that this secret will just fade away if he ignores it. Will he speak his feelings too late for it to matter?
No longer able to bear the every day tasks under the weight of her secret, Lettie makes a decision that will change the lives of her entire family. Will Lettie’s secret finally be laid to rest? Will her family survive her decision?
This book reveals the importance of family and the ordinance of the Amish lifestyle. The characters in the story come alive with Lewis’ writing. I really enjoyed this book. Although I was left with so many questions at the end, I will read the rest of the series.

The Host by Stephenie Meyer
Although it took me a little while to really get into this story, I was very pleased with the depth of the writing that eventually presented itself.
This story is about “aliens” who go from planet to planet in the universe infecting a host and experiencing that planet from the host’s body. In this book the aliens, who call themselves souls, have come to Earth and are using humans as their hosts.
The “soul” is placed on the spinal cord in the back of the humans neck. It then proceeds to take over the hosts body and push out the original human. Problems arise when the soul called Wanderer takes over the host body of Melanie Stryder, a rebel human who is running and hiding from this alien invasion. Melanie refuses to give her body over to Wanderer…so they have to co-exist in her body. It can get confusing when two people are speaking in one mind!
Melanie has secrets that she refuses to share with Wanderer. These are secrets that she would give up her life for…will Wanderer dig them out and use them against Melanie?
It took quite a while for this story to capture my interest, but don’t give up. It’s worth the read!

Welcome to the Christian Romance Novels blog! Here you will find information on Christian romance authors and reviews of Christian romance novels. We are trying to keep a list of every Christian romance writer, so if you want to discover inspirational fiction authors, you have one place to come to find them all. We now have recommendations so if you are just looking for a tip on a book to read (or listen to), here you go:

Our current recommendation is a book by Julie Eller. Julie was kind enough to send us a copy of her book to review and we really enjoyed it. To get all of our thoughts check out our review of A New Promise. You can get the paper copy at Amazon.
We also give a recommendation for an audio book that you can get from Audible.com and listen to. Our audio recommendation is Dee Henderson’s The Negotiator. We haven’t reviewed The Negotiator yet, but we have read it and we did love it. The best thing about the audio version is that you can get it for free. In fact you can get two audio books for free by using the audible link below:
