Christian Romance Novels

Novels

Christian Romance Novels, for avid readers, are a way to get away for a few pages to relax.  Sometimes we need to get away from finances, cleaning, husbands, in-laws, children, or careers.  Each Christian romance novel provides a blessed few hours of reprieve from the hum drum of life.  It has a way of giving us hope, encouraging our faith, and strengthening us so we can get through another day of our life.  When life doesn’t have a happy ending, most Christian romance novels will.  A happy ending is what we all hope for…especially in the romance area!

Christian romance fiction is not only about romance, but also about family.  One author that ties family into romantic stories flawlessly is Karen Kingsbury.  She is a writer that leads us to get so involved with her characters that by the end of the book we feel like we’re part of that characters family.  The romance that she writes about is inspiring because her characters in each novel are every day people with lives and families just like us.  Her books give hope as you travel through each of the characters life.  Through the ups and downs her characters grow to rely on God and on each other.  That’s the order we all would like our lives to be lived, but let’s face it…sometimes we get out of order and rely on ourselves, everyone else, and then God.

I just finished reading the last book in The Sunrise Series.  I don’t want to spoil anything for you so let me be careful and tell you a few things.  Karen Kingsbury makes you long for good things to happen to each member of the Baxter family.  She draws you into each separate family that makes up the extended Baxter family and creates a feeling of closeness to each character…a feeling that you are a part of the Baxter family yourself.  She does a great job of wrapping up the series (not leaving you hanging) and keeping the families focused on their faith.  Problems arise and are solved just like in life.  This series will cause tears to flow and it will make you laugh out loud!
